Thanks I will complete/correct the collection, but maybe in my 1939-45 topic, as this is not very related anymore to the wonderful model of ericr... :-\ ;D

remainings of the day : a mixture of Alouette helicopter and P-38
(the latter was an old childishly built kit, so it is a buit nastily punkish ;
I think this "composition" would deserve to be re-tried from clean new kits,
even in some larger scale, someday maybe ...)

That looks pretty cool.

Looks like a more powerful version of an Fw 189 battlefield recon aircraft. Maybe good for some artillery spotting.

Or, for Tophe, good as a plane for shuttling tourists around with an expansive view of the countryside.

Tophe

For tourism or for military observation, are the 2 bubbles (top and rear of the pod/nacelle) made for crew heads? or is it non-human for electronic devices or else?

Must be for human heads.

James W.

You could've sold one to Idi Amin, he could put his favourite heads on display in the bubbles, for showing off on his countryside tours..

Sometime ago I showed in this thread a space shuttle with a P-61 fuselage, in blue :
here is the reverse, a twin boomed propeller shuttle, in red  :

Now that is interesting

....and remarkably plausible too.  ;D

NASA used an old P-61 with a scaled Shuttle fuselage to check the crew's viewpoints at low airspeeds?  ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Wow!
I just have a question, as the windows look small compared to the engine: what is the scale of the P-61 and of the Shuttle? Are they huge radial engines bigger than R-4360?
