The Sywarrior chimera could almost be a real design from Douglas or SARO, some
of the latter's late '40s - '50s designs for patrol aircraft had a similar wing 'look'.
Granted they were seaplanes, but I could see a landplane version of some of them
looking very similar to this straight-winged Whale.
