It's because they think it will affect sales from their own shop.

Which of course shows they know NOTHING about the serious business of buying and selling plastic kits......  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

They don't really know much about putting on a show either do they??

Has anyone ever seen a modeller buying from thier shop at a show??

It's because they think it will affect sales from their own shop.

That is most likely a large part of the reason, putting all the traders in an anti room at the far side of the main building to their own shop also helps that argument.

My own view on the matter of under table sales is, that it is ok in moderation, but some do take the piss. Some stands can look more like trade stands than club/sig displays. And its been quite a bug bear with many traders for a number of years now. It can appear like a form of unfair competition, where the trader has to pay for their tables yet those doing large scale under table sales dont pay a penny.
I always hope for the best.

Freighdog will be there, hopefully with new 1;72 Lancaster bits on sale. Have a nice whif conversion underway (not for Lancaster, something bigger byt in a smaller scale if you know what I mean), but that will only be ready at Coventry in June, he says crossing the fingers....

Gizza clue

Look in Air Staff and AEW, something in 1/144.....

I hope its the VC10 FASS or even the BAC 1-11 Scheme 1 or 3A as they are the easier ones to produce.

I've seen a few traders stocking up on under table sales at some shows

There is a joke there about pirates....but as it is quite serious I will stay away from it....I won't be asking a mate of mine to borrow his parrot on your behalf either....a speedy recovery though....!!

Lance. Speedy recovery mate.

Nick. thats a bit of a bugger.

No doubt we will see both of you at another show at some point.

As for the rest of the gang who are attending, I may just raise the two model limit, that will depend on how many of us are there.

Right I'll see Hank at London Bridge - you know we are going to get a reputation for meeting under the clocks at stations don't you ?   - and the rest of you at the show. As I've said I have to be away by 12:30 but can I leave my 2 Hurri's with you Martin and collect at Newcastle ?
