Seriously though a pair of barrage balloons sound an interesting build, does anybody do them as vacforms ?

Formaplane used to, and pretty big they were too, but I gave mine away many years ago.

also have in build the blue joker aerostat system

Now why do i get the mental image of a diorama with Land Rovers and Lorries with a fishing line going up to a pair of balloons up in the rafters of the SMW Hall. We'll have to go to the balcony to photograph them !!! :o.

was thinking of using a pair of revel nt airships but now you have me thinking, lets just see what i can come up with if you have no objections

got the airbus  A321 AGS platform awating paint

Another AGS? Excellent! The one I did a couple of years ago wasn't my best work (the paint job is rubbish), would be good to have a better example to show at SMW.

Probably won't be available till later in the year so too late for any of the AEW projects  :banghead:

Nice, been waiting for that one to appear for ages.  Now we just need some RAF decals for it, seen a photo in the latest Air-Britain Aviation World magazine of one (ZE707) being used in Afganistan which has all sorts of little pods and sensors on it.

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Any idea as to cost?  Will it be the usual, sell the first born, sort of price that Welsh normally charges?  I'm running out of first born...

I'd like to add a rear ramp and upswept tail to it, I think.

I suddenly realised, with about a month go (!), that I hadn't even thought about doing anything for this year's theme.  :o

So having found a spare resin Gannet AEW3 radome in my spares box, and a suitable twin jet platform on which to attach it, I'm starting a 'Blitz Build' today. Who knows if anything will come to it, but fingers are crossed ?

And no, it's NOT a Canberra.........  ;)

Unfortunately what I am doing has come down to one definite and a rather unlikely second build. The BAe 1-11 is progressing towards being finished and the AEW BAe 146 might possibly get finished if I get around to working on the saddle tank which is what is holding it back  :banghead:

So which project are you doing Kit ?, so we can dig out the relevant reference material for it.

The only reference material for it is in my head...........  ;)

So it'll probably be next door on the Whiff SIG stand.
