Has anyone?

The SIG has had its paper work

Ill remind Carl at the next meeting Terry.
But he is a little pre occupied at the moment. As is the rest of the branch. One of our more respected members died last week. The 2nd death of a branch member since SMW.
I always hope for the best.

experience has taught me to expect the worst.

I didn't recognize the name but saw a picture of Mike in the Great War SIG newsletter, and I certainly recognize the face. A great shame, I remember him coming over to my stand at the Coventry show and at other events over the years, a really nice guy.

He was one of the worlds nice guys. Weather permitting theres a BBQ in his memory tomorrow night at the museum. Considering how laid back Mike was, its a style of send off he would approve of.

BTW Terry, Carl told me that Stafford were booked in any way ;D

OK good show got what I was looking for, and a lindeberg F-104. Problem is its based on the prototype and the fuselage is way too short, and has no bulges for the Vulcan - so purrfect whiffing material. RF-104A anyone?

It would need a HUGE bulge for a Vulcan........wait, you mean the other kind don't you.  :banghead:

yeah it was a good one despite the fact that we and IPMS Stafford were located in the old education center/port-a cabin. WE still had a resonable number of punters having a look at the display we put on between the 5 of us.

Indeed, I nearly missed your stand. And also the people in the location next to Canberra (The Argosy Centre according to the museum's web site). I took at lot of pictures, but as always the one I wanted to take (the red and white B747) in the end I didn't take. But I didn't have a lot of time to spare.
(Today I have added another 850km to my total just for seeing some models and some preserved  aircraft. And thanks to the diversion for the last 500 yards of the journey I did some sightseeing in Baginton. Next visit to the UK is now only a month away with the Air Tattoo In July.)

So it was you I saw snapping a way on the camera :D

the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront

Overall view of our stand, OGL in command mode.  ;D

Three views of the stand in detail.

And I only saw one other Whiff in the whole show, below, but OGL found another AEW project elsewhere that I missed. The AEW book must be having some effect!

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Nice.

Is that a manned Snark between the Victor and the Herc?  I have been thinking of something like that possibly scalearama to a 72nd fast bomber.
