All,
Went to Wonderfest in Louisville, KY this weekend, my first time to this show.  Only could bring a couple things since I flew and got skunked on what I did but that isn't any surprise.  For those of you who don't know, this is a Sci-Fi/Horror based show and there was some really good stuff.  The Vendors area also focuses on the same products with a lot of toys and art work included.  Spent a little bit of money but no where near what I had planned.  Did run into a few from the SSM forum that I hadn't met before but only one Whatifer, Buzzbomb all the way from Australia.  Now go figure that.  He actually said he has attended several of these.

Thanks for that, Phil!

Too many Star Trek, Star Wars, BSG, etc., builds for my liking - I'm just a little over them. Only one I really liked was the vertical 1/3 "Millennium Falcon" variant.

However, in 526 photo's there were quite a number I did like. Here are my favourites (mostly my naming, not official);

50 cal. gal
Aerosan StuG
Elliott Carver's Stealth Ship
Orange space ship just before that
9th Armoured Chemical Assault Tank
buzzbomb's C&C thingy (Scorpion?)
Merkava X
Steam Punked Minenraumer
Post-Apocalyptic 4x4 SUV Pick-up
Sarang Lunar Rover (from "Moon")
Serenity
Camo'd Special Op's Girl
Female Space Infantry (in the cave-like dio)
Bow-woman in the swamp
NASA Walker
Mystic from "Dark Crystal"
Blade Runner Spinner
Olive Drab Walker
Quad Walker (with the open rear hatch)
Zombie Nazi busts
Gun from "The 5th Element"
Steam Punked version of above
King Kong & Frankenzombie-Hulk Elvis dio
Bronze & grey panelled flying wing
"Explorers"' space ship
Monster Oscar the Grouch

Many of the female figures were really hot ... [Ahem! Harrumph!] ... very good!
Also, really liked the horned-helmeted warrior figures, very cool!
Some of the other game/comic/movie figures were pretty good, too. <_<

Anyway, again, thanks for that, Phil!

Yeah, great to meet you too Phil, always a treat to actually meet face to face folks you know from webworld.
There is always some great stuff to see on the competition tables.

Well I managed to squeak a Silver award for the NOD Venom which surprised me a bit.
I too did not spend as much as I thought I would.. pickin's were a bit lean on the goodies front.
Hopefully the trip to SMW will rectify that ;D

Oops! Sorry, Brian!

:banghead: Venom! Venom! Venom! :banghead:

I will be there too.  Doing the IPMS/UK tour and visiting relatives the week before that.

First time back in England since I was 4-5, about 45ish years ago.

This is cool - thanks a lot for sharing this, Phil.

I'll pass the link to the album to a bunch of SF modelers here in Germany, they'll surely appreciate all the stuff.
