I was thinking about making one by converting a Mirage IV kit the other day.  I won't bother now.   :banghead:

I think there was more to it than that, despite what French Secret Projects 1 says. Looking at photos, it seems to me that the G8-02's single cockpit was slightly further back than the -01's front cockpit, and the -02 definitely had a longer and slimmer nose in front of the cockpit.

Looking at: https://www.dassault-aviation.com/en/passion/news/50th-anniversary-of-the-first-flight-of-the-mirage-g8-02/

I can see that the G8-02 single seat looks narrower and more pointed - did they change the radar? The pilot position is slightly different too.

At least they didn't wait until after you'd built it, mate! ;D

The implication in FSP1 is that it had a radome for the Mirage F1's Cyrano set, but the set wasn't actually fitted.

New post on their FB feed promoting their 2024/25 catalogue. How big a shed would you need for a 1/72 An-225 with a Buran shuttle? Also spotted a 2025 release of a Do-31 VTOL😍

Even my GARAGE isn't that large!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I honestly wonder at the likely market for stupidly big (and stupidly expensive) kits like a 1/72 An-225. I guess there must be some or they wouldn't produce  but, I also wonder if many of such kits would ever get built or, if they are bought just for the "Wow" factor?

The Revell  1/144 An-225 kit sold pretty well apparently, but that's LARGER than a 1/72 Lancaster or B-17.

A 1/72 An-225 would have a span of about 4 feet.................

But still of manageable proportions and not much bigger than a 1/72 C-130.  ;)

I think I paid about $AU80 for mine 10 years ago at a swamp and smell.  Worth it though.  I'd wanted one since I saw an example at a young age and the words "the worlds largest plastic model aircraft" etched themselves into my brain.  I've just about got everything together that I need to whiff it.  Except time and space.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I was 17 when I got my one and that cost me a hundy back then..brand new they are much much more now ..nearly 300 I believe so you can see my temptation at $145 and I could probably get it for less to...it's second hand of course and not having checked it out I don't know if it's all there but man I'm thinking I'm gonna find out
