The cowlings on the Plasticart/Revell Be-6 are incorrect too. Fortunately, B-29 cowlings glue right in place with little trouble. Of course, that now adds the expense of having to have a B-29 for the cowls, engines and props. I wonder if Trumpeter will come out with the turbo-prop version used by China. I might spend a few bucks for it but I'm happy with my old Plasticart kit.

The Be-12 Mail is out at Hannants at £54.99 UK price

Interestingly the Trumpeter Be-6 Madge is £62.99  :o

That surprised me a tad to.

I nearly succumbed to the Be 12 at Southern but just couldn't lug it around all day. An aircraft with character to spare in my view
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

If it's 63 notes I'll be giving it a miss! Got the NuBee boxing of the Plasticart kit and a dead Airfix B-29 (though I'll need to change back to props from space ship engines!).

Okay, I have no clue what this is:

MVIT7219 1:72 S-32 MK HYBRID  £31.99  £26.66

It looks like an Su-17 fuselage with Su-7 wings, but according to Wikipedia, "S-32MK" was just an internal Sukhoi designation for the Su-20 export model with downgraded electronics.

ChernayaAkula

It is a Su-17M fuselage with Su-7BMK wings. They only built a single prototype, the intention being to produce a fighter-bomber for export. It is mentioned in Gordon's tome on  the Fitter family, but he doesn't give a designation for it. Maybe it never had an official one? S-32MK does indeed seem like a misnomer in this case.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Captain Canada

I know what it is....expensive ! Kinda looks like and old version of the Flying Leopard.

That'd look good painted up as WG774.....  ;)

Modelsvit are following up their new Tu-22 Blinder with a Tu-91 Boot which looks like a cross between a Gannet and a Bear as it was a Soviet Carrier based turboprop Torpedo bomber.

Lots of PC and Whiff potential there

Oh, a 1:72 IP Tu-91? Good news, finally...

Had to look up the Tu-91 - that certainly needs whiffing, because it took one hell of a hit from the ugly stick  ;D

That Tu-91 would make people think it was a whiff just right out of the box!  I also agree that it's an ugly aircraft.

I've always liked this one, a Gannet that's been in a trouser press.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
