But where can one find one of those beauties? I've been going through the Modelimex 1/72 aircraft kits and no sign of that brand...  :-\

They no longer exist.  Evilbay is your best bet...

That's what i thought... there's a 1/72 resin conversion set but it comes out more expensive than a complete 1/48 P-47kit so, i'll wait for the Modelsvit kit. I'd rather pay the same or even a bit more to have a full styrene kit.

Modelsvit have just announced the long aeaited release of the 1/72nd scale Mirage G8, on Facebook.
It looks good, and a very comprehensive kit too. No pylons or ordnance so going to have to get creative for a production/service version. I have been waiting too long for one of these.

A better candidate for Whiffery would be difficult to find!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Absolutely, I am waiting to see if I can get one directly from the Ukraine.

It's actually released to Bassin Maquette  in France, who sponsor the project as they did with the Mirage 4000, much as they did with Anigrand (sadly arnold used the mirage G dimensions for the Anigrand Mirage G8 making it a lemon.

Therefore the kit can only be bought from them for now. Modelsvit can then release it through their distributors in about 3 months time.

The Mirage G8.02 did fly with weapons pylons for load trials so maybe in that boxing.

Surely that would automatically make it a 'Whiff-in-a-Box'?  ;D  ;)

Size wise it could be but make a VG trainer, but the cockpit and fwd fuselage is also underscale, could possibly use an Alpha Jet cockpit and canopy to correct the look.

Ooh that's nice.

I wonder if they're going to do the single-seater prototype? I always thought that was the nicest-looking one.

What did they find to add to get another 225 parts?  Individual fan blades?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

How many parts does it need? Is this them just joining the apparent fad manufacturers have for cramming as many bits as they can in the box regardless of how practical or even desirable it may be?

I like everything about that kit, apart from the '£TBA' bit at the end..............  :banghead:

I think I'll stick my my Revell 1/144 version.
