"No longer a Su-7, but not quite a Su-17 yet!"

1/72 S-22I/Su-7IG - pics of the sprues and instruction on scalemodels.ru - LINK!
Perfect whiffing fodder!

I hope they'll continue the Fitter line and eventually give us a new Su-17/20/22.....
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

I've just reviewed those sprue shots; Very nice. The instruction sheet looks very comprehensive and clear as well....

Now those are SERIOUS wing fences!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Oh hell yes! That might tempt me to put my hand in my pocket: trouble is it might come out empty.....

That just has so much potential, as the real McCoy, in its projected Cold War use, then whiffing with a different user/scheme, updated, back-dated, a plane, a boat a sub or as a basis as a sci-fi model . That's the sort of single kit we could have a themed build based around !

It'd drive the IPMS Competition crew daft trying to work out which class it'd go in.  ;D

It's almost the perfect aircraft.
An amphibious ekranoplan that was also a VTOL plane.
OK, so it never got it's lift engines but we can fix that...
