How stupid that?

I suppose some lunatics with more money than sense will order one though.  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Well I've got a couple of 1/72 C-5's and a couple of 1/72 747's ------ it would go nicely along side them ----  I'd just have to get one   (starts saving mode on)

The an 225 has been  postponed until later next year as they are having problems  with the fibreglass  parts, ie wings and fuselage.

I assume the fact that you would effectively be writing them a blank cheque. They could charge whatever they wanted and you would be obliged to pay it. I absolutely agree that it is ludicrous!!

Surely wait until you have all the fundamentals, like say a price?!!

Exactly as sideshowbob9 stated. It's stupid having a pre-order system in place with no indication of the eventual price.

Oh, I see.  I thought your comment was aimed at the idea of a 1/72 An-225, not at Hannants. Was a bit surprised, because it didn't seem like you to " :banghead:" at something that was basically created by putting longer wings on it.  ;)

Not indicating even a price range does seem strange, especially since they have a well-detailed write-up on their Backorder policy and it doesn't seem to indicate any situation quite like this one. Perhaps this is a first for them as well?
Cheers,
Moritz

I've never seen the Big H do anything like this before, no. Very strange indeed.

As for the philosophy of the full size manufacturers following my 'longer wings' mantra, I LOVE it!

More of them ought to follow Mr. Antonov's ideas.  ;D

You save 10% by putting it on backorder...

Bassin Maquette just announced on Facebook that they'll be releasing Modelsvit produced kits of the Mirage G-8-01 and G-8-02 in 1/72nd. Will go very nicely with the three Mirage 4000's (still in the to do pile!) I got from them! No word on release date or price yet.
