Roden has announced a Britannia C.2 RAF boxing as well as a Super VC-10, the pic on Roden's site is an East African plane.

About time there was an injection Super VC10, it's WELL overdue.

The K4s were all Super VC10s originally, yes, but none were built as such. They were all ex-airline aircraft.

There is a good article in said mag about bringing the former BA birds out of storage, but that's what I was heading for. If they do a Super 10 then I guess a K.4 would be easy enough, if not already planned.

I thought the old FROG kit (you know the one with the working lights) was a Super.

There's some hilarious tales about those conversions.

Apparently BA had removed the cockpit doors before putting them into storage at RAF Abingdon, so the RAF crews that flew them to Filton (with the wheels down...) had to fit ordinary kitchen doors before take-off to fulfil some obscure CAA or MoD rules!  ;D

It was, that's why another one is well overdue.  ;D

Froggy kit had dropped flaps too IIRC. Novo released it but it's probably kerjiggered now.

Gondor

The K4 is available for sale, saw my first one on eBay earlier today.

Only difference between the K3 and K4 were a door to get the tanks in or out of the fuselage as required and said tanks. So the existing kit could be made as a K4 as it has no fuselage tanks.

News from a week or two ago, some new trash haulers have been announced in 1/144th scale.

C-5B Galaxy (due May, also C-5M in November)
C-133 Cargomaster (Nov)
C-141B Starlifter (July)

Other planey goodness
Cessna 0-2A in 1/32nd (July) and a Cessna 0-1/L-19 Bird Dog in 1/48th (Sept). Don't ask me why they aren't in the same scale, would have made a nice pair in the same size.

Long wing donors???
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Hehehe, maybe, but they all NEEDED to be modelled, and Roden will make a good job of them all I'm sure.
