There is always another option.

Along with the private residence.  I wonder how much a scrapped widebody would run...
An aircraft contains a lot of valuble metals so its still not cheap. Trick is to find one that doesn't need to be shipped across the country. It can be done!

Yup, transportation would be a killer, esp. for a widebody which can be wider than two regular road lanes so needs major road modifications for transport.

I always wondered how hard it would have been to get one of the retired C-141 from the AF boneyard in Arizona. I'm sure they've all been scrapped by now. As the C-130 fleet gets replaced by the C-130J model perhaps one could be available.

I know where you can get a used C-133 fuselage.  Needs work though

A C-133 would make quite a mansion! Just for giggles where is it? Shipping costs you know.

Atlantic City Airport.  Need to talk to either the Hughes Tech Center or FAMS

FWIW, I remember the junkyards on US206 in Burlington County (NJ) used to have some really cool scrap.  Old steam locos, I think even a couple had B-17s and 24s still lurking in their yards.  Sadly most of the yards are gone, and what few remain have just junked cars in them now.

Google earth shows it was still there in 2011. Looks like a 747 next to it and the C-133 fuselage is nearly as big! A person could make an apartment building out of it. I'm afraid I'll have to keep looking for something a little closer to Chicago.

I looked over Atlantic City Airport but couldn't find it.  Found some F-16s, a F-106B, a F-105, a Tristar and a DC-9 but couldn't spot a 747 or a C-133.   Where is it?  https://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&q=atlantic+city+airport&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl

Brian,
look to the NE towards W White Horse Pike, they're clustered together.

Thanks but still can't find them.  Looked all along that perimeter side and still can't spot anything that looks like either a 747 or a C-133.  :(

Not 'on' the airfield, off to the NE, closer to the pike than the airstrip.

Still not able to find it.  Can you provide a Lat/Long?

Coordinates
Lat/Lon:   N 39 27.5632, W 074 33.464

And just about parallel with the end of RWY 31

The Tristar is used, I believe, by the Federal Air Marshal Academy as a scenario classroom.  The gate guardians are F-16B, F-106B, F-101D.  The 119th FS is a Lawn Dart squadron.
