Aye!! It's a winner! Love the eagle on there.

Here's one I found on the ARC page..

"On www.arcair.com today Jan 2 2018
Kees Kuyper is here not with an aircraft....but a really fast ground vehicle. This is his Lockheed Streetfighter of the U.S. Army. Read his article for the full story. This is a very creative concept.

XL looks nice but, i just don't get what the kitbash is... other than the GE engine nozzle and the ventral fins, i cant see much of a kitbash there... Decals, maybe? And i really don't get why add the ventral fins on the XL...
Well, in the end, it still is an XL Viper so, can't say i don't like it... ;D

Maybe he means the Monogram kit was a regular F-16 and he just bought the Hasegawa conversion thingy? Kitbash? I dunno.. something.  :o ;D   I wouldn't call adding upgrade or 3rd party parts "kitbashing" but maybe he does.    Some people just like to watch the world burn!

Mr. Rat... hell yeah!! He has some wacky nutty stuff!! There was more being posted on the ARC page I just haven't gotten to them yet including an ericr-eque like... tiger headed thing or something.  :o ;D       Pretty cool stuff.. caught a glimpse of some Fokker D.24 something or other and some others, etc.

Sorry Brad, hadn't seen this reply. The kit is the Monogram XL as there was no other kit or conversion sets in 1/72. There were resin kits and conversion bits in 1/48 and 1/32 but not in 1/72, hence the ridiculous prices people ask for the Monogram kit.

IMHO, this is a true Monogram/Hasegawa kitbash:

Excellent work from Greg, i like his products also, great stuff indeed.

Ohh ok!!  Man... that is some choice work there by Greg! Wow... I hope I can get my skill level up there some day.  :police: :police:

I figured out what threw me off track.....I went and looked again at the thing I saw, it wasn't Hasegawa... BUT THE LOGO LOOKS LIKE IT.   ;D

That's where I got "Hasegawa conversion kit" from but it's actually "Lone Star."  :o  I didn't see it at the time, but it says down at the bottom that it is "suited to the Hasegawa F-16A or F-16CJ kit."     This would appear to be a "newer" thing-a-mah-jig (2008). Maybe this is what he was talking about? It's not a "Hasegawa conversion kit," rather, one that goes onto a Hasegawa kit.

If I had an Monogram F16XL already I'd just roll with it instead of replacing the parts. If I had this "conversion" thingy I'd stick it on an F-16A or something and save the Monogram bits! I'd hate to think a bunch of good parts are languishing somewhere in purgatory.

That said... I been kicking myself for a couple weeks now.. I LOST OUT on a sealed F-16XL that went for a MEASLY $22 and another $10 shipping because.... about 10 minutes before I was set to bid... a bunch of malarkey went down and I was distracted and forgot about it. I sat back down at my chair here and saw that I missed bidding by less than 10 minutes... so.. yeah... I watched it like a hawk for days only to have a 20 or so minute "window" of distraction and it slipped away!  :o        (been watching another recently but it's already about $20 more with nearly 4 days left on the auction     )   ;D

I've never heard of that Lone Star conversion before, is it still available?
