I always do paint the flats of the wheels. <_<

The B8Y3 Keiun Kai looks like a Japanese "Spad" (A-1 Skyraider) to me, so the excessive weapons load is fine.

Me to and I tend to sand them (if not provided flat in the kit) and then paint them. I must admit why you see so many models in magazines with  unpainted flats has always puzzled me as well. Glad it wasn't just me
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yeh, my process, is to sand a flat spot (unless using "weighted" resin wheels), paint the wheel, fit the wheels so the flats are facing down & have the plane or vehicle standing on its wheels while the glue dries. Simples!

Something a little different.
1/24 VW 'Beetleschmitt' 😁
Tamiya 1966 1300 Beetle with pilot figurine from Legend, MG17's in the bonnet and MG31's in the headlights both from Master.
Decals from Techmod, markings depict Hptm Rolf Pingel JG26 France 1940.
Lots of fun to build, think I'll try a Mini CooperSpit next..."

EDIT:   I find the fact that the emoji smiley face became italicized right along with the text endlessly amusing.......   I don't know why... it just tickles my fancy, funny little things like that..  ;D ;D

How about a VW minivan styled like an He 88?
Or a Merc-Benz of the era looking like a 252?
Chrysler or Ford with Flying Tiger shark face!
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Now, I'm not sure if this was made up OOB and just the story is "what-if" or if the whole thing is, but there ya have it.

This is a coincidence to me as I'm making my own Macross plane.. in the same time period.... that also has fictional results to current events. Mine being the whole "Space Force" stuff.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It's an OOB build. I think I also have one somewhere, stashed away... And it should be a VF-19, the YF-19 belongs into a different fantasy universe.  ;)

Old Wombat

Are the markings appropriate to Macross? Because they look like Spectrum markings to me. ;)

I noticed those, too. Thought I recognized them from the Airfix Angel but wasn't sure so didn't mention it. I just looked it up though, and they're the same. So... is Spectrum also in the Macross universe or something then or is this not actually oob?
