- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

You just know someone's going to do that  ;)

Sure hope so!  I'd do it, but I'm up to my eyes in styrene just now, and no spare engines in sight ...

Facebook has a group - The Greatest Planes That Never Were - and they post all kinds of interesting stuff - like this:

Sukhoi Shkval (Squall) tail-sitting VTOL interceptor project, 1960's.

If I were building this, I'd start with a Lightning fuselage, fair over the intake; swipe some wings from a pair of F-5s, and scratch-build the engines.

I love the Sukhoi project. Looks rather like a Viggen or possibly Draken front ind to me ?

Utilising a close working relationship with both Lockheed and McDonnell-Douglas, Canadair Aviation built five top secret electronic reconnaissance aircraft in the late 1980s for Revenue Canada (our version of IRS/Inland Revenue). Occasionally utilised by CSIS (our version of MI-6 or the CIA, but with lower expectations) to gather electronic information on suspected terrorists and other malcontents, the F/U-2 EH (Fighter Utility Model 2, Extended height) is primarily used by Revenue Canada to monitor financial transactions and other electronic communications from an altitude of over 75,000 feet. Several tax evading suspects have been fully prosecuted to the fullest extent of Canada's fully effective and fully enforced tax laws thanks to evidence gathered by the F/U-2 EH! One more tool in the arsenal of peace, order and security in the modern world of governmental capability!

I wonder where he got that idea from.  ;) ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
