and now, a deHavilland Dove on floats!

It's not a Whiff, it's RW.

But they only did one of them AFAIK.

For the Hudson Bay Company   ;)

"Pure fiction this one!

The US military continued its development of pilotless AI controlled aircraft, using the versatile F16 as a test bed, in conjunction with a private contractor; Cyberdyne Systems.

At the same time, they had almost completed development of a fully AI defence system codenamed Skynet...

Been sitting on this one awhile. I hope it's new for most of you.

"Finished my B-38 Wing, with custom made decals. The noose art I picked from Dave Mott: https://www.superpunch.net/2011/04/star ... e-art.html.
For the full building: http://forum.aprj.com.br/viewtopic.php..."

Someone get Tophe in here!  ;D

It's very creative and well built but my brain is refusing to admit it is anything but a Lightning with a missing wing.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Similar feelings here as well
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

There is that - but there is something distinctly Star Wars about it, too, in addition to the Rebel Alliance(ish) roundels and nose art.

I like that, too, even though it's also too much "unfinished P-38" for my personal taste. But the concept is great.

I love it! I was thinking about why so many people do great whiffs using P-38s but, then again, the P-38 looks like a whiff to start with!

What if it had a B-29 nose instead of the P-38 cockpit?

Fred, there is a photo somewhere - maybe even here - of a single-boom, single engined P-38 based Drone with fixed landing gear.

Fred, I've just found this:

That could work as a starting point, and though you wouldn't necessarily have the Turbosupercharger, it would still spank along nicely, given a decent Donk.
HTH, FWIW

Thanks Rick.
Not what I was thinking of but very good nonetheless.

Turns out I'm not the only one to throw an airliner livery on a Hercules! This was a "lucky" find as it was actually a comment on a thread that had nothing to do with built models or what-if.
