Hughes AirWest, how wonderfully appropriate.

NARSES2

That does look good

Is that a variation on the Batman logo on the tail fin ? Or is it just me being slightly obsessed with Gotham (or at least some of the young ladies in it ) on t.v. at the moment ?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

TheChronicOne

I've wondered about that myself. It is a lot like the Batman logo, I was thinking the same.  ;D

Having no clue what-so-ever, I've "guessed" that perhaps it's some stylized "H" or "W" or both mixed together. Might even be all three... the H, A, and W. Then again, the bottom middle spike would seem to be superfluous.

IIRC you're correct there Brad, it was meant to emphasise the three initial letters of the airline.

I've got a few Hughes AirWest decal sets, but you need to get the yellow dead on for it too look right. It's a remarkably pale shade, and I'm not sure if anyone ever did it in paint pots, maybe Xtracolor in one of their madder moments.
