The paintwork is stunning, although I personally don't think it suits the kit ? However as the builder himself says, it was a trial and IMHO a successful one

it's very hard to scale paint, especially metallic paint.

I see what they did there.... ;D   Never figured a person could be a whif but hey, that's sort of the point of asking the question to begin with, yeah?!

Speaking of people and what-if....it's an excellent segue to this next one. This is a kid build and features kid in question! It's always great to see the youngsters getting into the hobby, and it's like a triple point score when they're already being corrupted by what-if material.

Posted by Dennis Joynt, built with Joyden. Posted on the "Tamiya Model Magazine" page.

"Joyden finished the chinook. Just a different camo he made up. Was a challenge but a slight team effort repairing parts that got poped off, every now and then😂 and seriously old decals sheet."

Pretty darn clever paint job there.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

These caught my eye easily and I had to stop to see what the deal was. Turns out ... well... read the quote, I won't spoil it.

By Angelo Spatharis found on the Airliner-Civil Aircraft Modeller page.

"Completed some time back. But didn't post untill I gave it to my cousin in greece. He owns a boutique ice cream factory and shop. My rendition of what I think it should look like. Printed up decals representing his logos. Kitech 1:300 and Skymarks 1:200 kits."

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I'm right there with you, man!! I thought they were really neat. Does kind of give me the munchies, too. Ol' boy's cousin has some pretty good marketing design skillz.

(I'm going to start to add links sometimes as a lot of these are public, and sometimes there are many pictures which is not only time consuming to transfer, but often superfluous. That said, there is content worth looking at still so the links are nice.)
