Not a Whif, but possibly an inspiration?  I've always loved their livery

Few know that Air Malta also used a BAC III in full livery for a short while in the 1970s; this is G-AYOP being serviced at Luqa civil terminal (Godfrey Mangion).

Malta is indeed a beautiful and interesting place Mr Wombat  I flew on them back in the day as well, nice airline to start a holiday on. Latter in life I sailed into Grand Harbour on a Cruise Ship, don't think our reception was as "grand" as my Dad's was back in 42  ;)

Malta is one of the places that has always fascinated me - I'd love to visit, but at my age/finances I don't think it will ever happen.  :)

Other places on my bucket list include Curacao (sp?), the Isle of Man, Madagascar, Zanzibar, Mauritius, and Sri Lanka, but Malta is first.

Oddly even though I'm a UK subject the Isle of Mann is the one place on that list I haven't been to. Islands are always fascinating.

It's a cracking place, I used to go there a lot for the Cycling Weeks back in the 60s, and Mrs_Pr19 and I went back a couple of times after I retired.

Well worth the effort, and the expense, the ferries are exorbitant!

Agreed!  Madame R and I recently added the Isle of Wight to our considerable list of islands visited.  The Falkland used to be on my list until 1982.

The isle of man  used to be a regular  place  for me to visit.  As a kid I used to go ove3 in the summer  with my parents,  sailing from Fleetwood,  then until  1995, I used to go to the TT and Manx GP regularly.  Lovely place,  that on a clear day can be seen from Blackpool.

Many comments about this Photoshop, but none of them useful.

Presumably at medium speeds it has one wing set forward and one swept?  ;D ;)
