A cracking looking machine there, but then most Miles designs were.

Certainly is.

I can certainly see a jet powered version. Perhaps as a Mosquito replacement ?

Looking at this artwork, I see a P-51 with wingtip end-plates and a mashup of B-29 & B-17 ... good Whifs.  :)

I'd guess it's just a depot ... drawing in Dieselpunk

"This is my original, 1/72 Scale "what-if" version of a navalised A-10 , I called as the A-10N Sea Hog. The A-10 Thunderbolt II may be slow and old, but this dedicated close air support aircraft is still an infantryman's best friend... and the enemy's worst nightmare. To make the Sea Hog navalised and able to land on carriers, the Land based A-10 may need to be added with a :
- folded wings (fold backward due to long span)
- arrestor hook
- 2 seater crews
- modified Landing Gears
- main flaps changed to Fowler Flaps
- extendable Leading edge slats
- a retractable refueling probe.
My version with the features above added, using a Hobby Boss 1/72 Scale model of the twin Seater NA-10 Thunderbolt.
This My original "what-if" version concept."

"Inspired to do this modified GR1 Tornado after seeing a similar one built after a visit to a nifty little hobby store called Hibbits Hobbies in Fayetteville, just outside of Ft. Bragg."

This one is a public post so even person never having even visited Facebook can see it.

Now, I've seen "can planes" before but they are typically rudimentary and things like loose interpretations of bi-wing craft or other simple things. This dude seems to have an eye for things a bit more accurate. Just a few pics here; there are more at that link.

There are more planes and about 20 more pictures in the link. Pretty cool!

Love the A-10N, but I think a VA sqn number would be a bit more appropriate.  ;)
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Here's something new, adapted from an original artwork by Stéphane Beaumort/AviaDesign.

PR19_Kit

Very clever, and its a prototype too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

"Court Line acquired the former RAE Beverley with the intention of using it to fly spares for their TriStars should one go U/S. There were difficulties in getting the aircraft on the UK civil register due to the props being built with a hollow structure (?) and so the aircraft was dispatched to a museum at Paull, Yorkshire. I am no expert on this so stand to be corrected!"
