What the Hell, do the sculpting - it looks good!

Many ideas look great in profile, but just don't work at all when viewed in the plan view.  FWIW, the cross-section of a 262 is triangular and very wide across the bottom, the 87 is a thin & tall oval ----

Yes, & I think that that profile, in ovoid form, would look pretty good on the front of a Ju.87!

P-38 nose turned upside down might work?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Found this 1:1 scale Whiff, I think the cowl looks like it could be from a Anson, the rest I have no idea, looking at the wing it may just be sheet metal assembled into an aircraft like shape.

You may be right with the cowling, but the rest of it looks like a crop-duster.

Cool. A nice tribute to the men and women who served ! Now, who's going to build it ?

All around the area where I live in Alberta are old war time training airfields, some still being operated as an airfield but many not used for a long time even though you can still see the old runway outlines.

You should try the road out of Darwin, NT, Australia.

The road is built on quite a few old runways & there are still others just off to the side of it.

There is also a stretch of road near Kingston SE (South Australia) that was built next to or on an old WW2 airfield.

Noice.
I got the MPM Mistel kit which has the rocket propelled trolley and the unmanned plane but has a bomber nose 262 on the top.
I really should build it but the lashings of PE & vacform canopies intimidate me.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Dragon do the 'He162 on top of something' Mistel (Mistel 5?) that uses the same trolley as the double 262 one. It looks very usable for our kind of stuff but being Dragon none of the bits fit each other.  :banghead:

I have plans for the trolley, and sold the 162 on as a result. The trolley's being modified so the fit issues aren't so serious.

That looks a very 'real' project. Odd that it has fixed tip floats though, almost all its Convair predecessors had retractable ones.

I'd be dubious about it being a virgin birth.  Did he not have a Wesley Crusher action figure?

Love that 262 combo ! Makes me want to run out and buy one....such a neat aeroplane. Looks like a real photo in the second pic.

The P6Y looks pretty wild as well. I think it needs jet engines tho.
