Only a German engineer would come up with a different landing gear set up and over engineer it to hell.

My wife's uncle, a German engineer, would agree!  ;D ;D ;D

Yep, and  Seamaster in the background. I checked for Conestoga kits, it's Anigrand selling for $121.54 USD on Scalemates. That guy has more money than me.

"1/48 hasegawa F-16N.. pretty much OOB.. a few added decals to make it a VF-45 jet"

"Spent my quarantine time building an oldie but a goody: the Airfix* OV-1 Mohawk, a 1/72 kit from 1968. Although used almost exclusively by the US Army, the Marines participated in the original design request before backing out at the last minute. This is what it might have looked like."

*In the comments section he corrected to Hasegawa.

Not a public page. Considering this, I would have provided more pictures were they available. Alas, he only posted this single photo.

As luck would have it, these Steemgeazer & Son fellers have posted again today. Star Wars again. I assume it's a series because they keep making more.  ;D    Enough commentary from me.... I should just leave it up to the subject matter and the creators' own words:

By Steamgeezer and Son Independent Traders found on the "Steamgeezer and Son Independent Traders" page.

No quote, it just said that these pics were added to the "Heinkel He162 TIE fighters" album.

I'll provide a link but I can't remember if this is public or not. (been a long day)

Good job of the Mohawk.  Those old Hasegawa kits are a bit gnarly.  Looks like he couldn't get enough weight in the nose though.  Probly due to it being opened up.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I was not aware that there ever was an Airfix OV-1?

I know there had been a Frog kit, but that was a re-boxed Hasegawa Mohawk?

Dizzyfugu

Ah, then it makes more sense.  ;)

I.A.36 CĂ“NDOR

Studies of this project began in late 1951 (designed by Kurt W. Tank); an Esc. 1:34 model was built for the open-circuit Eiffel Subsonic Tunnel, and a mockup of the Esc. 1: 1 fuselage in wood. Traffic plane with five turbines in enveloping configuration; ROLLS ROYCE NENE turbojets, although they were planned to be replaced by lighter and more powerful ones; it could hold 32/40 passengers; 950 km / h (during that decade the English DE HAVILLAND COMET-III aircraft was developing 780 km / h). The Condor had a wingspan of 34 m and, like the I.Ae. 33, possessed wings with a pronounced arrow, benefiting its performance and economy in flight at high speeds; estimated range 5000 km.
