  That was rather a bummer I Imagine for that person's model but I can't help but laugh at the pictures in my mind of a convulsing plane as one blade whips around....     

Used on stow-able engine motor gliders and there is the Everel as flown on this J-2.

From the page of one Rob Evans, an album entitled 'Ellesmere model show'. From what I can gather off the web, it's an annual show put on by the Ellesmere Model Railway Club, in Ellesmere, North Shropshire. Don't know who the modeler is.
