You guys are starting to get me thinking of trying one of the Coke Zero's just to find out what it tastes like. That reminds me that I always wanted to take the Pepsi challenge and spit the drink out as I don't like the taste, simply want to do that to see the look on their faces when I say, "Yuck, that's defiantly Pepsi!"

I think Diet Pepsi and Diet Coke both taste like crap. Whatever they sweten it with is just yucky.

Coke Zero tastes like real Coke to me, as Pepsi Max tastes like real Pepsi. Still prefer Coke tho.

Reminds me of my US holidays many years ago... they had "Crystal Coke" at that era: a Diet Coke with no calories, and even no color! Looked odd, smelled horrible, and even tasted like pure sacharine.  Yuck!

BTW: just wait for Coke Life to hit the shelves of Europe! It's a literally green Coke (no joke), sweetened with stevia extracts and positioned between Regular Coke and Diet Coke/Coke Light - the stuff has just been launched in Argentina and I guess that they won't stop there.

Ginger beer for me (not ginger ale, different kettle of fish).  Always used to get a can with a fish supper, (or sometimes dandelion and burdock), needed something strong flavoured to cut through the grease from our local chippy!  A bit harder to get hold of these days, I tend to swarm on the better brands when I see them.

Ginger beer isn't super common in the US, either, but you can find it. I'm a fan of Bundaberg, personally.

Diet this! Diet that! "Yeah super-size the triple Garbage Burger with extra Possum fat, a side of deep fat fried synthetic yams and a giant Diet Jitter Juice please".
People think just because they drink a diet 'sodee' they are on a diet and can eat a bunch of junk. Me and the doctor had a liitle chat. He was ordering me to get exersize, quit smoking and eat light. All my numbers were well in safe ranges including my weight, I'm healthy enough.
"Doc I can do it your way and live longer and die tired, grumpy and hungry. Or I can do it my way aqnd not live as long but die well rested, happy and full. Which do you think I prefer"?
These darned doctors keep telling me how close I am to keeling over and I keep watching the Green Ripper swoop in and grab them up.
Pepsi please, straight up over TWO ice cubes.

Got a taste for Diet Coke when they changed real Coke to new Coke or whatever it was called. They say they changed it back but after all the Diet Coke it didn't taste right to me. Tried a Pepsi and it made me sick as dog! Now it's mosly Diet Coke but luckily ASDA does old style Coke in a glass bottle 6-pack, tastes great out of a chilled bottle and you get the fun of prising off the metal cap!

I think the taste of everything changed with the widespread use of aluminium cans and plastic bottles!
And when i was a kid, you used to get a nice shiney two pence piece when you took the bottle back to the shop!
Now there was an incentive to recycle!
