From a fellow named Martin Goldsack, on the Greatest Planes That Never Were group page, and shared with his permission. Tornado F.3 (the Matchbox kit) with wings from an F-106.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That's a nice model. How come they didn't thought of that?

That is nice ! Miragenado ? I guess you'd have to change the fin to call it that. I never noticed how droopy looking the F.3 nose is. Or is that a mtachbox anomoly ?

My only gripe is the chin turret isn't faired in cleanly.

My only gripe would be the bomb bay location, when it drops it's load it would be tail heavy
Well, it is a taildragger.

Basicly switch the ball turret and the bomb bay positions.
I do like the way aircraft of two extremes are combined.

Love that.

From the same state of mind that I was in when I built my turreted TSR2.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

From the angle of the photo the bomb bay may not be as forward as it appears. The builder was probably just going with the B-17 configuration. A switch would make it more stable as you said. It would look cool either way.

Nice.
I wonder what happened to the rest of both B17s?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
