Nice.
I wonder what happened to the rest of both B17s?

If they put the J-58s on them they'll be in orbit by now!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Now that P-51 is something I've thought about for a long time. Looks better than the real world Piper Enforcer.

A giant flying boat.

The question is though- was it a Saunders Roe design?  And would it be faster to move Australia closer to the departure seaport?

I can see a Stuka shaped wing, with outer sections of Stuka tailplanes on the wingtips, the rest is a mystery to me but I like the way it looks. The fuselage and engines may be from Heinkel He 280?

For some reason or other, I'm kinda partial to this one.  ;)
If anyone's interested, the engine pods I used are from an An-32, but I think they were eye-balled to look about right, not to scale.
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Yup. What a simple spinner can do! Lovely idea and rendition, though.
