Looks like a C-97 donor kit was used, possibly the BV222 Wiking wing.
Great build.

Guys, this is not a physical model! It's so perfect, because it's 3D (CGI).
The latter and a similar one could be seen on Deviantart as well:

Hot off the press. Just saw this contraption on the "Facebook Scale Modellers" page by Raimo Leino. " Savoia S.101-B "Calamaro" - 1/48 HiTech kit - I built & painted this "in the spirit "of Porco Rosso anime movie - so I tried to create "a cartoon" lookalike model.":

How 'bout that!

That's nice, and truly catches the movie pirates' "spirit".

zenrat

Splendid.  Captain Fat Hamster would be glad to accept that into his fleet of aero-buccaneers.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Absolutely
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hi Paul!  I think I would agree from what little I've seen so far. The next one he posted was a Spanish Junkers plane and it was gorgeous.

THAT'S a machine for the next Mad Max film . Must be a few machines in junkyards out there.

Dizzyfugu

Excellent, esp. for a 1:72 diorama. Very creative construction!
Thanks a lot for sharing.
