This build is super fresh!!!

By Ben J. Butler
Found on the Trash Bash Bits page.

"The Pernix is a 1960's earth inspired Luxury Land Spreeder for your trip to the Casinos on Canto Bight. Pernix in Latin means "The Nimble". "Pernix" is on the rear quarter of both sides of the car in the Star Wars Aurebesh font. The base of the build is a deodorant container. The interior, glass and roof panel were from a thrift store 2006 Dodge Viper donor toy. The grills in front and behind are buttons. The button in the center of the back is metal and is reminiscent of a 50's Ford Thunderbird continental tire kit. I considered every conceivable configuration of embellishment and decided to leave it looking "retro". It falls somewhere between vintage cars, Star Wars and Speed Racer. The red paint is from an old can of Krylon Fusion. The gold vents and some accents are brush painted. The wedges and name badge are made with a vinyl cutter."

For some strange reason I like that
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Cool. Confirms my idea a couple of years ago to convert a Listerine bottle into a spacship for a convoy group build, but it never materialized. Very creative stuff, and probably even smells good!

That's one SERIOUS exhaust pipe!  :o

What a terrific idea, it really does look 'retro' as he wanted it too.

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Like it.
I occasionally see shapes that would work like that but then don't do anything with them.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It's pretty nutty! I decided to like or join (whichever) that page and am curious to see what other stuff comes down the pike.

I'd like to try to build a reasonable airplane out of junk at some point but sometimes it's difficult to picture random household crap as anything other than what it is so maybe I'll pick up on some of the "artistic eye" these people have and start to recognize parts and pieces.

The Curtiss-Wright Aircar of the Star Wars Universe, how long before it becomes canon? :banghead:

Much more streamlined than my contraption.
I have however been thinking about building another, sleeker version without the external lift ducting, based on either a '59 Cadillac or a '53 Studebaker (a bear's natural habitat) or a '52 Hudson.
