Like the space tug in particular

Me too!  But why is it carrying a perfectly ordinary British Army vehicle registration number  (37 KG 87)?

Why not?
In context it becomes something completely different, 99.999999~%
of people wouldn't know, nor care about, the source.

Cracking! That's an Alco FA2 loco cab merged into the middle.

This is perfect considering our current GB! Artwork this time...

By Tom Hanley. Found on the "USAF Aircraft of the 1950s to 1980s" page.

"You all might get a kick out of this. My rendering of the first Reno Air Races 4-engine Unlimited class. The clip-winged B-17 "Texas Twister" has the lead here at the first pylon. The B-29 "Eight-Ball" went on to win by 8 seconds after "Twister" was penalized for cutting a pylon on the second lap. B-29 "7" was DNF due to an engine fire. B-24 "Chunky Monkey" came in third, with the B-32 "Ding-Danged Dominator" (not pictured) coming in fourth."

Something a little different.
1/24 VW 'Beetleschmitt' 😁
Tamiya 1966 1300 Beetle with pilot figurine from Legend, MG17's in the bonnet and MG31's in the headlights both from Master.
Decals from Techmod, markings depict Hptm Rolf Pingel JG26 France 1940.
Lots of fun to build, think I'll try a Mini CooperSpit next..."

EDIT:   I find the fact that the emoji smiley face became italicized right along with the text endlessly amusing.......   I don't know why... it just tickles my fancy, funny little things like that..  ;D ;D

IIRC, nutcase Clay Lacy once forced a DC-7 through the race course...

I wonder how much wing you could feasibly clip from a stripped down b17. Maybe keep the tail .50s to dissuade slipstreaming?

I've now got a mental image of racing B17s retaining their waist guns and blasting chunks off each other as they tear round the course.
Maybe four engine racing bombers would be allowed to retain two of their defensive guns.  Which two being left to the team to decide.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Ball and top turrets would be better choices

For field of fire considerations maybe. But in terms of drag?
