American Airlines Tu-154.  Triple bogies and extended fairing tells you it's a Tupolev.  I saw one in Bundesluftwaffe markings in 93 when I was up in Iceland

But that's about all we know; I wish folks would include who made the builds and what materials and supplies they used, etc.  It's a beautiful model! Makes all my stuff look like garbage.

Coincidentally, I've sort of half-mindedly been wanting to do similar types of antics, Make a B727 with Aeroflot markings or whatever,  then make one of these Tu-154s in whatever decals that came with the B727 (like this person did) but I probably wouldn't have gone with the NMF version. I was even considering a three-way by including a Trident!  :o ;D ;D ;D

The -154 is a much larger aircraft than a 727 though. The decal swap may not work too well as the various stripes might need lengthening for it.

I've had the 727-100/Trident swap going on for DECADES, and have no idea why I haven't finished it.  :banghead: :banghead:

I've done the 727-100 in BEA Hi Speed Jack markings and the Trident in PanAm's 1970 period scheme, both of which as used on their internal German services operating out of Berlin Tempelhof and Tegel when I lived there.

I'll have to dig them out and GET ON WITH THE JOB!

I like the Tu-144.  What it really needs is a MiG 21 Analog along side it though.

The NMF on that Tu-154 is gorgeous.

Thanks! I'll bear that in mind. I had always figured they were roughly the same sizes. No way in hell I could color match missing cheatline segments with me paints and non existent cataloging system.  ;D

And.... YES!! Pull them bad boys out and let's see what we have!!

I don't think I noticed it at first, either, but does it not have one sitting there? I mean... it COULD be the Chinese copy, but still.   ;D ;D

Hell yeah... that finish... that's one reason why I was a bit let down about the lack of info. Alclad?
