This is oddly appealing to me ....

Old Wombat

Has potential but I think there's too much superfluous ... junk ... hanging off of it.

Trim off some of the excess weight & I'd be happy for it to carry my equipment - just don't expect me to fly in it! ;)

If the pilot ain't willing to risk his life in the plane, why should I be?

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

NARSES2

Give it a proper tail appendage and you'd improve it 100% IMHO. Front end almost looks alive ? Something the Cybermen might use ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Caveman

You guys seen the one in flight in the background? Top left. Looks a bit like box wing/biplane. Much more "reasonable" concept to my eyes (oblong jet engines aside)

Think Short Sperrin..............  ;)

"One of my more recent builds. Old SMER kit of MC 200 Saetta in 1/48. There are many mistakes and tail wheel broke off during photo session. It was mainly used as a testbed for Gunze paints, which I had no previous experience with. So I didn't pay too much attention to details (such as shape and position of "cloud" patterns). It can be said, that it is what-if build."

Now that is SOMETHING ELSE! I LOVE it!

It'd be a bitch to model though, while the lettering wouldn't be too bad, the multi-striped decals would take some working out for sure.

You're right and even way more beyond -my- meager capabilities. lol   I've considered getting ahold of Jim B. to see if he would make them since he has all that fancy stuff. As far as making the aircraft, it kind of appears that the nose is merely stretched along with the upper deck?  That should be easy to do. Zvesda 747-8 in the back at least then whatever is handy from another 747 kit for the nose.  ;D   Just guessing here. And I suppose that would need to be figured out in order to get measurements for the decals?

Then I gotta find a 1/144 Bentley....        (or whatever that is  lol )

We're thinking in similar lines Brad.

We might need TWO 747-8s though, that'd be pricey, and what do you do with the left-over bits?  :-\

I saved the pic for future reference and I'll explore my Pan-Am decals when I get home, but a Minicraft Stratocruiser sounds like a good starting point.

It's a Rolls Royce Phantom, not a Bentley.  ;D
