Anyone know if this going to lead to new builds or is it just refitting the survivors? Think we need to find a member who speaks Spanish!
I don't speak Spanish ... but phrases like "remotorizacion" and "transformar parte de la flota existente" recur in the article.

There's also a paragraph about Full Glass Cockpit, Mission Computer, Up-Front Control Panel, HOTAS, data link and sistema electro-óptico. Not sure if that is plans or something that is being done.

IAI is mentioned in connection with the re-engining, and ELBIT comes up in the pieces about electronics.

Apparently, this is intended as an upgrade for the Argentine IA-58, keeping them operational until 2045(!).

An interesting  mixture of RAF and BA schemes.

But he's made one rather crucial error, the RAF doesn't use the flying boom AAR system, so it'd need some hose reels somewhere too.

Another attempt at helicopter mounted artillery. This US Army Weapons Command concept drawing shows a 105mm howitzer mounted on a CH-47 Chinook helicopter.

Neat find!  LOL  I can see why they went with the tried and true method of simply hauling howitzers around and dropping them off, though.  This would be handy to a point but then you don't have use of your helo the whole time you want to shoot the piece. With the traditional set up, it can be off doing other work after having dropped off the first artillery weapon.

Do a search for a CH-47C aerial artillery XM204, it shows a slightly more practical idea using two cannons, and a pair of retractable RP pods.

Quicky post. A simple paint swap I guess.

Martin-Baker M.B. 12 "gun fighter" 1938 (Great Britain). Heavy Hunter (project).

This strange machine was a twin-engined hunter project studied by Martin Baker and based on his hunter mb 2. She had the particularity of not having a vertical fixed drift to gain weight, the stability to be done with the back finesse of the Fuselage and its engine pods. Directional Fins were at the end of these elements and additional fins were at the end of the wing. It had to be equipped with two rolls Royce Merlin engines of type not specified and receive an impressive weaponry consisting of 12 heavy machine guns located in the nose.
Tests were carried out with the MB 2 without its vertical drift and they revealed a strong instability in flight which would mean that if the model 12 had seen the day, it would have received a vertical drift but this one will only remain one Paper plane because the raf preferred a little more classic aircraft.
