Yeah!!! I understand the whole "costs" aspect of it and what not but what they COULD have done is just have a single Tomcat (and one back up, naturally) to do solo stuff and perhaps even join in with the Hornets for a couple maneuvers. I bet it would have been wildly popular.

Though IIRC the Navy pilots tend to be either Hornet or Tomcat people - nothing in between, and for the Hornet folk to have given any concessions of time or airshow space to a Tomcat would have been unthinkable...  ;D

But it would have made for an impressive display.

Ha!!!  I didn't know they had beef like that. That's funny.  ;D

Buddy of mine was a wrench turner in VF-84.  He'd always say "Why send a bug to do a Cat's job" when discussing Tomcat v Hornet

Yeah, I learned it from 'JAG'...  ;D

Canberra conversion to take a Buccaneer radar and nose close-up shot I took on 11th October 1976 at Luqa Malta, it was known as the Canberra T.22.

I think  there is or was a kit of that, and a conversion  kit too.

A zillion years ago RayHex did that T22 nose conversion, and there's been one more recently too.

I saw that today too, isn't  there a kit out of it either a&a or another  eastern European/ Russian outfit.  Or is that a different  Indian  aircraft.

Yes, there is, or was, a kit out of the Marut not that long ago.

But not an Airfix one................

Yeah, I knew there was one out there somewhere. Reading the review makes me even more certain that I want Airfix to do one!
