Daaaaamn, I didn't know there was a 1/72 one!! I'm going to have to find one and turn it into a bomber and throw B-1 markings on it.

Way ahead of you there Brad. A long time ago there was this picture in that years RAF Year Book.

When I got my 1/72 Concorde (Airfix) I knew it would be done like that.

This is where it's at, and like some other comments I've made on other threads, when I moved house everything got packed up and that's where it is still ---

I'm fairly sure I've got a thread here, but I think none of the photos will appear because they were all done in PhotoBucket.

It's not the best kit ever made, but this is WhiffWorld so we can live with a few discrepancies here.  ;D

It wasn't on the market for very long, but it's certainly impressive!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I've had a look for my thread, it seems I didn't post one here. It must be on The Airfix Tribute Forum site then. The kit has a major problem with the wing and the engine nacelles, my thread was mostly about how I went about fixing it before PhotoBucket did it's ransom demand. All the photos have disappeared from the thread and I don't go there anymore because of the tapatalk sh!t that is there.

It makes me so greatly relieved that I discovered the friendly, supportive community that is Whiffworld.    I do occasionally frequent other forums (or should that be forae,  or even fora: it's 53 years since I did O level Latin, and one forgets these things) but I always return from the backbiting, bitching, browbeating and sundry other unpleasantness to the tranquillity of this site.

Thank you  all  for your efforts in keeping Whiffworld a calm environment where the only dangers are wild anachronisms, untameable imaginations and the occasional soaring paradox.    Give yourselves a pat on the back!!!

Well said!

The very fact that we, by definition, 'think outside the model box' to use current phraseology, makes us so more tolerant of others wild ideas I reckon.

And so we should! How can you expect someone else to be appreciative of your insanely insidious idea if you're not appreciative of his crazily counter-intuitive concept?

Was in bed shortly after, but that's early compared to the last week, when it's been more like 0400hrs (I'm on leave, so no day shifts). However, I'm a night-owl & find I do my best work after everyone else is in bed.
