And the VC10/2 thing is a Chilean aircraft...  :o

So it is!

Maybe they got the VC10 in the same deal as the three Canberra PR9s that they had?  ;D

What's the A-400 thingie though? The fuselage roundel looks as if it's Belgian, but I can't read the script.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I can read "Fuerza aerea del Peru".
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The following is from the FB post.  I have no idea if any of it is true - some parts make me seriously doubt the veracity of this.  But, anyway, here it is, for your delectation.  :)

"Martin Nuclear Powered Strategic Bomber
This became the B70 Valkyrie prototype. One of the most expensive military projects ever. There were only two built if I remember correctly. They never were made with nuclear power systems because the radiation shielding to protect the crew would have been too heavy for the jet to fly. They would have been designed for a crew of four to fly a full month in a racetrack pattern between the USA and the Soviet Union. The nuclear reactor intended would have been a molten sodium reactor."

Posted by Håkan Bäcksin, from Wikipedia:
"The Saab 36 (also known as Projekt 1300) was a supersonic bomber planned by Saab during the 1950s. The aircraft was intended to be able to carry an 800 kg free-falling nuclear weapon, but the Swedish nuclear weapons program was cancelled in the 1960s; the plans for the bomber had been cancelled in 1957.[1] The Saab 36 was to be fitted with delta wings, as was the Saab 35 Draken fighter. The engine was to be a version of the British Bristol Olympus turbojet, the same engine powering the Avro Vulcan jet bomber. "

Daniel Waltimere posted:

"This is America's first attempt at creating strategic air power, the XNBL-1 "Barling Bomber", named after its designer. This was a major Army Air Corps project in the early 1920s, with what was an astronomical budget by the standards of the era $500,000.00. A huge chunk of that allotment went just to build a hanger at Wright Field big enough to hold it. Sadly it was a failure. It produced more drag than estimated, was underpowered, soaked up water in the rain, and had to abort a flight from Dayton to Washington D.C. because it wasn't able to climb over the 2,000 ft. ASL Allegheny Mountains! In the end they pushed into a field and burned it."

Looks like a Hercules nose/cockpit on a A400 Grizzly fuselage. Main planes look to be A400 too.
Not quite sure about the tail, may just be the A400 tail feathers re-arranged?

I think you've cracked it there. There is a lot of A400 about it for sure.

It looks very good though, some good work there.

Fernando Zamorano Vergara says the C 150 Goliath I made from a revell A400M on 1/144
It has the tail of a civilian A330 and the nose of a twin otter in 1/72. and the engines are from a B 767.

Excellent, thanks very much.

I'd NEVER have figured the Twotter nose!  :o

We should get him to join up here.  ;D

There is nothing new under the sun.
They are both very nice.
I didn't make my wing folds straight like that because it means making the flaps fold.
I also envisaged mine folding more like a Firefly.
I note that both of them have removed a gun from each wing like I did.  Great minds think alike obviously.

The Barling Bomber may have been inspiration for the Handley Page Henfield triplane bomber.

Yup, i noticed that and found it curious that he took the same route.

It's because there is a panel line just inboard of the guns which is the obvious place to put the fold.  Except it is too close to the inboard gun.
I figured that if six 50's was good enough for the Hellcat...
