I shared the story of how I took a bunch of junk out of my spare parts stash to "attempt"(I'm a clueless novice to kitbashing and scratching; I have a tremendous amount to learn and have been leaning on y'all to teach me and get me through  ) to make a model on FB and others seem to have been inspired to do the same.

This feller made a cool model much quicker than I can even decide on how to glue a part on to mine!! What a badass!!! And.... hell, the contraption he made is pretty neat, I think.

"This is my original 1/72 Scale Scratchbuilt Conversion of the Boeing 908 Lightweight Fighter Project. This Boeing model is made by using the Academy's F-16A model. I removed all the fuselage strakes and blanked with Tamiya Plaplate Plastic strips and lots of tamiya putty! The wings, tails and fins are modified to follow the Boeing's shape stabilizers. 2 speed brakes were added near the exhaust. The Lightweight Fighter (LWF) program was a United States Air Force technology evaluation program initiated in the late 1960s by a group of officers and defense analysts known as the "Fighter Mafia". One of the objectives of the LWF contest was to evaluate different new approaches to the same problem. Both the Boeing and the GD YF-16 were quite similar. This neat project was, it seems, the favorite at first to compete against the Northrop YF-17 Cobra, but the YF-16 was cheaper . The eventual winner is the YF-16 Falcon & the YF-17 Cobra"

Introducing A-3 "雷鳴"(Lei Ming)(Thunder Shock) single seat jet attacker, Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF).

In the late 1970, the Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF) Aero Industrial Development Center (AIDC) developed a new advanced twin seats attacker/trainer AT-3 ready to retire the American made T-33A in the ROCAF Academy as the advanced trainer, also served in a combat sq. as attacker. Later the ROCAF developed the single seat one called A-3. Equipped with a 30mm cannon on board, A-3 originally was ready to play the role of ground attacker in the ROCAF. However, the ROCAF finally chose only AT-3, and gave up the A-3 program. The A-3 had only two prototypes, number 0901 & 0902.
The ROC Navy wanted to buy A-3 to establish its air power in the 1980s. But the program was also cancelled later.... That made the 0901 & 0902 are only two A-3 in the world.

I DO like that, it'd be a bit of a job to do in plastic, but not impossible.

On a slightly related note.... B-52 was doing a fly over yesterday (not sure where.... but not here)  and an access door flew off and landed in someone's yard!

I'd be hiding that in my shed if I found it in the yard.  No way they'd get it back without putting in a bit of effort.
