I'll let someone else try if they want, I'm suddenly finding myself a bit "in over my head!"  ;D Contemplating a 727 and also contemplating talking myself out of it... it's fun to start new things but I now have 4 going at once and the 727 would make 5.  :o   There was I time I wouldn't mind this and even more but I know the busy (work) season is fast approaching......

I've heard of a 'Rat Rod', but never a 'Rat BUS'!  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit, the bus has been turned into a "fifth wheel" trailer.

Ooh I like that.
I have an AMT 1/25 '50 Chevy pickup in the stash along with resin Auslowe parts to turn it into a 3 axle prime mover.  My neighbour was keen on me to build it with a 5th wheel wedge trailer.
He turned out to be a bar steward when he changed the locks on his partner the day she came back from hospital after treatment for a brain tumour so you can understand why it has not been prioritised.

Maybe this year i'll move it up the queue.  I could give it another 1/35 Russian tank engine - Miniart V-54 maybe.

Technically, it's been turned into a trailer bus rat rod

Strangely I like, and think it suits, the "rust" colour scheme

Or, I'll take it off your hands, Fred, I have been looking for one to build for my Dad. It's his favorite, and my too!

This one?

I actually have two.  You could have one but it'd be cheaper to get one from Evil Bay than to pay the postage from here to there.

This one is $9:99.

Both posted by Benjamin Donnelly found on the "Airliner-Civil Aircraft Modeller" page.

"This model is a mystery.  When the local hobby shop went out of business in October 2017, I went hunting for some bargains.  In the back, next to a stack of old model kits and under some decal sheets, was this Constellation.  Other than being a little dusty, it was in perfect condition and painted in the colors of Seaboard and Western Airlines, which later became Seaboard World.  I was able to buy the model for only two dollars.
It is an older kit, as evidenced by the raised rivets--something that was done back in the 1950s and 1960s for "realism," though when scaled up the rivets would actually be the size of dinner plates.  It is a well-done model, done by a model builder with experience--the question is, who built it?  I have to wonder if it was my stepfather, as he was known to use model railroad lettering on his airliners, and the "Seaboard" titling clearly comes from a railroad decal sheet.  If he did build this Connie, why was it shoved in the back of the hobby shop and forgotten for who knows how long?
Whoever built it, it's a fine looking model.  I was going to put it on display with the rest of my stepdad's models at the airport, but since I didn't have a Constellation in my personal collection, I kept it!"

"While there are times (more often than I'd like to admit) that I'm scratching my head at my stepdad's models, there were times that he deliberately built what-ifs. I have no idea if MEA ever actually considered the Tu-144--maybe to compete with Iran Air's projected Concordes?--but the Tu-144 looks good in MEA colors. This goes along with his Qantas Concorde and Northwest Boeing 2707.

The real OD-ADQ was a MEA Comet 4C, that did not have a happy ending: it was destroyed in an Israeli commando raid on Beirut in 1968."

Not sure how long this picture will last because I'm pasting a facebook link, but this beauty was on the Canadian Military Modellers Association, and made by Michael Evans. Posted with permission.
