That reminds me of the snow speeder in Star Wars. Looks very good.

more like the earth fighters from buck Rodgers for me, but a whole heap of awesome
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.
wow, its like freefalling into the Geofront
Not a member of the Hufflepuff conspiracy!

Old Wombat

For someone in 1941, that was an awesome piece of logical, intelligent conjecture.

Almost everything on it was public knowledge, via various technical & scientific publications, but bringing them together like that was pretty awesome!

That looks a lot like the SAAB 210 LilDraken that they built as a scale flying prototype for the J35 Draken.

Captain Canada

That SAAB is really wild ! And not sure I knew about the refueling probe. I'm pretty sure I thought it was ammo as well.

I am pretty sure something is amiss here. Does LX equal 60? If so, that's the time he thought something like that would be in service. Which would be rather more impressive. That much patience instead of "we can do this in two years". And much more plane THAN Lockheed's, too...

Edit: I don't know what's wrong with Autocorrect facilities anywhere. Would write "than Lockheed's"... Why would I ever write "that" here if ı wasn't EVER that positive about the first Lockheed jet?

PR19_Kit

LX does equal 60, or it did in Latin anyway.

Ah!  The joys of a traditional English education.........

I'm not sure 'joy' is the word I'd use with respect my learning' of Latin!

I set a school record for the LOWEST possible mark in the Mock O Level Latin exams. To quote my form master :-

'Er, Spackman. Latin into English, one! English into Latin, zero. Average, one half!'

It could stand for his 60th such drawing instead of 1960. Or something like that. Any way you look at it the guy was a genius.

Not arguing that it is 1960. Only saying it would be something tremendous if he implied that these would NO DOUBT take 20 years. He has rockets to boost thrust. Not afterburners which were probably terribly classified at the time. At least in Sweden.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .

Much more creative than what Audi shows us here in Germany in an Xmas TV spot.
