Very true - SWMBOs have long memories and, as mentioned, no statute of limitations.
But bribery (chocolate/wine/handbags/shoes/making dinner) can ameliorate the fallout - for a while, at least...

Still, at least she enjoys the mischief and mayhem, so that's a plus.

I wasn't there that day!
It wasn't me, I swear!
I had a flat tire!
It was somebody else!

now that ive finished blaming someone else   ;D
I was listening to the Mike Oldfield album  5 Miles Out and a wondering thought struck,  What kind of plane is it on the cover ?  so a quick google later, turns out its a  Beechcraft 18, and a little checking later  Revell do one in 1:48 as well,  so its been added to the "to get list" as itll look good and it can be on the table as a reasonably sized  thing during wargames, and the twin prop nature gives it a lifespan of 20/30s pulp till now, so it covers a multitude of eras as well..

Ah, Mr. Oldfield.  ;D

I used to fly RC gliders with him and some mates off Hergest Ridge, but I didn't know who he was. He was just 'Mike, the guy with the Graupner Cirrus'.  ;D

That's the model on the sleeve of the original 'Hergest Ridge' album, they swapped it for an LS8 on the re-pops.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Wow,  thank you Kit talk a bought learning something new.... Id always thought that it was a "full size" glider on the cover not a model  :o    only looking again at the artwork do i realise its a blacked out canopy, not just reflecting back !!

and thats another story ill have to talk to you with at the next show

Bloody hell, Mr Spackman! My sis (14 years senior) introduced me to "Incantations" back in the early eighties and I've been stuck since. I'm starstruck just seeing your hat in the avatar..  ;)

;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  I wore a baseball cap those days, the winds off the Ridge would have put The Hat into orbit!

on the doing stuff front....
im doing a single 81mm mortar team for my 80s brits,  a tube on K stand, with 2 crew bent away and covering ears, a line of ready bombs, a crewman readying rounds, and a stack of the transport tubes, the tricky bit is making certain i can get them all on the base, up- sizing to a 60mm circle has helped  .  The other on the go is a MB 1:24 Thunder spirit,  doing as reasonably close to the box at the moment,  as its only the 2nd figure that big a scale ive done ( the other being a Tamiya 1:16 Rommel i did for my late father many years ago)  its a try more than anything, if it goes well, it can go in the display cabinet, if not well  up thread there was a comment regarding my 28mm wargames wood elf force, needing Ent type figures, so i can use some etch brass barbwire as base for vines with flock glued on as leafs  :o  ;D ... so win win either way
