Naughty   ;)

You have to have a little fun now and then...  ;)
And some people take themselves too seriously on occasion - myself included, though hopefully not as often nowadays.

I've mellowed as I've got older, but I do feel sorry for those who had to deal with me 30 or more years ago

I feel sorry* for those who've dealt with me at any stage... I seem to have a Default Mode of 'Spiky/Grumpy' and it only seems to be getting worse - I got the 'Intolerance Upgrade' somewhen along the timeline.

*Well, except when they deserve it...  ;)

Whilst agreeing that a well lobbed verbal grenade can result in a magnificent display of  sweeping gestures, unparliamentary language and social pyrotechnics (in other words, much amusement for onlookers)   I try to adopt a more gentle philosophy of an ecological nature:   the JMN, knowitall and instant universal expert  are (like the horned slug, the lesser louse  and the politician) occupying a specific niche in the great scheme of things.      As my little sister comments  "Poor unfortunate  things, they can't really help themselves"
"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

I have always appreciated your turn of phrase, and do so again, good sir.
I also agree with Little Sister that sometimes the perspective of 'It's their nature' can help to cope with whatever they decide to throw at us. :-\

When leaving the house always carry a brush if carrying a hobby knife. It makes interactions with Percy Plod a little easier  ;)

managed to get another 4  of the 3 pipe stacks scatter cover  done and the tank farm filling station is also done  the brickwork painter red / brown and the pipes gunmetal and varnished as well

4 figures 4 pieces of scenery and 2 models.

and have started on the 1:48 Tamiya Challenger 2 ( desert)  so glue in the weight brackets and super glue the weight to them.  and it has a crew man to put in the turret as well, which is pleasing.

a few more parts on the Chally,  and the design is different from the 1:35 version,  in that there are a lot less parts,  what would be small fiddly delicate parts   even on the larger Tamiya kit, are integral on this one  it is quite eye opening.  i am defiantly having the good type of fun so far building this

My teeth would need a LOT more than just a bit of PSR! I'd need some major 'cross-kitting' I'm sure, or even some 'scratchbuilding'.  :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

You and me both and they'd have to get me in there first  :o

a few track links on....   im rapidly falling out of love with link and length,   yes i kow that the normal Tamiya rubberband tracks arnt the " most accurate " in the world   but having to make 90 odd tack links per side from 3 or 4 parts each and then have to play around at trying to tension the darn things  isnt a game i want to play,  i can feel it sucking all of my modelling joy away even as im typing that
on the other hand im at the pre painting before i get the PVA glue stage of a 28mm sci fi hanger.  it nothing detailed but more than just a box
