had the parts arrive yesterday    so will be getting on with things ( hopefully) today, especialy as it down to 14C from 30C      the brain was starting to melt

still supergluing white metal to resin,  quite nice to be able to do a part, and then potter a bit, and go back and do another.

i had ( note of past term) just enough white primer to do all 3 plus the side skirts  .  then a quick blast of matt black into the running gear, tracks and the inside face of the side skirts,  then tamiya british green spray on the rest   

ive got paint on resin   doing the happy dance 
now letting it dry / cure then i can break out the hairy sticks and touch up the green, and then get the black wiggly lines on all 3,  gloss blue the vison blocks etc

opps.  that tamiya british green spray,  its still a lovely gloss, i may have used a british racing green...  sill its green and a good base coat... ho hum.

re greened all 3 tanks, after a discussion at the womborne model club yesterday i could have left them gloss, as apparently that was how they were delivered,    starting to get some black on the Tyre's and some darkening of the grills on the rear decks,  and i have enough tubes to make another set of tube scenery,  so that's curing, i must spray them soon so i can ink them and dry brush to get some stuff finished.

grey spray painted the pipe stacks, ill have to re glue one back together, i can let it all dry then do that , touch up the grey and then splash vairous inks on to add some depth / colour.

its that time in July  again ? as normal? due to inevitability??
I'm off next week so I'm puttering, i need to move some of the kits in the modeling room into the loft, an effort to try to be able to get to my modeling desk 
I'm doing well on the chieftains, gluing on side skirts,  and a thought struck me in the how to ID them as separate on the table,  so eachcommanders side cage will have a different number of jerry cans 1,2,or 3 and sorted, if i ever need to get more the loaders side can do similar.    ill be putting the normal tac codes on the back of the turret as well but a lot of opponents wont understand them, I'm uncertain to use the real black on hull colour, or go for a more "enhanced" manovers yellow ?   ( suggestions welcome)

tac codes are on, in black on the NBC filter at the turet rear.  some tamiya nato black to give the "standard" BAOR camo,  ill need to have a qick chack of the tracks and track pads but nearly finished.
unbuilt stuff in the loft and ive managed to crar enough room i can get to the modeling desk more easily, so evan better.   The 2 kits for the Womborne model show raffle are out of the loft and will go to the club meeting on sat.  today has been rather productive.

all 3 are done, a quick drybrush / stipple with some tam flat earth, and desert yellow for mud and they look quite good.

slapped some green on the taus stuff,  slow going, but slow and steady wins 
next up is another easy finish  i plan on doing the Falcon 40, the Wiff being its getting the 2 spare engines from the Lear jet ( that got the A10 engines)  two twin sets on the tail for that one, and then i just need to get a colour scheme, the Lear looks ok on a wargames table in sand, but looks a little too peanut like as a display peice    im considering a blue  possibly simaler to Ultramarines blue ( and no thats not a spelling error)  ive got a can of the GW paint that i could use, that i got for a now discontinued space marine army,  then use some line decal to do a demarcation line.  but nothing complicated ?

been out to the local hobby craft and restocked on green and grey, had a look at the kits on offer, and uttery disinterested, inbetween it being the normal same ole, and then the cost, im fortunate ive a good stash, not quite SABLE yet, but itll keep me out of  mischief for a wile.  wile i know things go up and all, its squareing the circle on 10% plus, and on kits that i know with some of them are older than me.
