There must be a market for someone like Revell to produce a new mould for a 1/144 C-5!

Cargo birds are always the forgotten part of the Air Force, unless they're "famous" like the C-47 and C-130.

Yet Revell have produced in 1/144 the C-17 and in 1/72 the A400 Grizzly

i would like for revell to re-release the 1/144 NH90 (perhaps with additional TTH & NFH parts) and the 1/72 Agusta A-109.
as new moulds, i would like Italeri to release a 1/72 kit of the AMX-1 and M-346. a 1/72 M345 (M311) would be nice to.

revell's 1/72 A400M is HUGE  :o, would be nice if they scaled it down to 1/144. also in 1/144 a C-160 (and revell, stop teasing us with the 1/200, 1/100 and 1/od scales )

-all kinds of things.

The problem with re-releasing the 1:144 Galaxy is that the moulds are at the bottom of (IIRC) Tokyo Bay. That's the reason for the silly prices.

Is that when they lost the Revell 1/32 Ki-61 molds?

McColm

There should be a moulded part which could fit where the engine cowling goes to change the shape from  round to square/oblong and vise versa .

A legend in model aircraft lore is the story of Tony, George and Jack Revell, a trio of 1/32 Imperial Japanese fighters: "Tony", the Kawasaki Ki-61-I Kai Hein (Swallow), "Jack", the Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden (Thunderbolt), and "George", the Kawanishi N1K1-J Shiden (Violet Lightning). Revell created and released these for the Japanese market via their Revell-Japan subsidiary in the early 1970's. After several production runs the trio's molds were shipped ( by ship ) to another Revell subsidiary. The ship sank, the molds lost at sea! We can only hope they are enjoying Model Valhalla with the Aurora molds bought by Monogram and destroyed in a train wreck.

Hmmm!

Well, how about a few "what ifs"?

Conversion kit to produce the Phase 6 Vulcan from the Airfix B2. Of course, such a kit would need to include the external bomb panniers also proposed for this variant!
How about an EB-52 Megafortress to produce a PROPER Old Dog? 1/72 naturally. Anything smaller just doesn't interest me
1/32 Red Top/Firestreak missiles  - I really need those for a couple of 1/48 ( yes, that's right) "whiffs" Lol!! A couple of Red Hebe/Red Dean missiles wouldn't go amiss either!

A "Bomber Resupply set" for the Airfix 1/72 & 1/48 TSR 2 kits. Comprising full range of conventional/nuclear ordnance the type was to have used. Naturally, pylons and MERs would need to be included. ( Come on Airfix, you KNOW you want to!)
Valiant B2 (1/72 NATURALLY!)
While we're at it, a re-release of the 1/72 TSR 2 in the FTP ( Fits Together Perfectly) version!
Freightdog to scale up their recent 1/144 set so we can produce a 1/72 version of the AWACS/AEW C-97 proposed by the RAF

Well, I think that's enough for now!

Yes PLEASE! It's real PSR queen as it is, not to mention the hours of filing and sanding.

What Joe and Geoff said. That's got to be a lot of resin but it'd make a terrific model with lots of Whiff potential as the real things never made it into service.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I'd love an MRA.4 conversion too, but remember, the whole wing was different, not just the centre box, so I doubt it'd be cheap and possibly not even feasible.

Styrene all-fabric or almost all-fabric wings for the new Eduard 1/48 Spitfire and Airfix PR.XIX.
Same for the 1/48 Hasegawa Typhoon.
And an all metal fuselage for the Hasegawa Hurricane in the same medium.
Drop-fit replacements of course for the kits they are made for.

There are aftermarket kits for the Airfix Nimrod MPA, but are a  bit fiddley to fit. I agree with the MRA4 kit.
There is an update kit for the  Br.1150 Atlantic to the ATL2, bit this is a bit pricey.
There are no update kits for the P-3 Orion/Aurora .
A cheaper kit for the conversion kit for the P-2 Neptune to the turboprop three blade prop.
