I didn't know they had a summer show too!

I've had a stall at the previous two winter shows, and in both cases nearly froze to death en route! It's run by Matt Irivine of Dr Who models fame, in associationh with the guys at LittleCars and it's pretty well organized. The bacon butties produced by the local Community Association, are to die for!

I plan to be there again in December to lessen the load on my Loft joists.............. ;)

I went to the 1st one they did back in 09 and thoroughly enjoyed it, ( evan if it was a little chilly) and I heartedly agree on the bacon butties Kit, they are things of gastronomic beauty.
Matt gave a very enlightening talk on the models he had there from Blakes 7 Dr Who, and outhers, and evan let a couple of people try  K9 out,  ( he was very protective of K9 and would only let people who swore they had some knowledge and skill with RC cars even near it and the drive on him  and the mass of him give a lot of momentum and make him hard to control) I fear that it won't happen now though as it does seem to be rather more attended than then.

ive been keeping quiet about it but we have a small presence at this years show, me and Mike McEvoy are putting up a small display on one table. We were invited by the organizers  a few weeks ago. I will be plugging both the sig and the forum thou

And back.
lovely little show, managed to avoid the  :dalek: in the car park,  took some photos for a nice lady of her holding the costumes of Avon from Blakes 7, had a wonder round, got a couple of books signed by Mike Tucker, and then had a chat with Martin and Mike.  and one of the bacon sarnies hmmmmm!  it was quite busy for a display show,  in a village hall. some of the stuff on display was gorgeous, ( there were some 1:24 scale space 1999 and ufo models that id love to own but have nowhere to display. :banghead:  and id really want them in 48th so I can wargame with them to be honest)  There were some kits there for sale but the cost ( wile it may be market rate) was too rich for my pocket ( £40 for an imani Eagle Transporter, and £150 for a 1:35 aliens apc kit).

It sounds like the Summer event is more of a Show than the winter event, which is definitely a Sale.

Correct.
Small space is a scifi/fantasy model show. I was asked if I wanted a table as Paul (one of the organizers) is of the opinion that what if? kind of fits in with the shows main mandate.
AS it happened I limited the display to mainly paper project, prototypes and canceled orders. Although a few "proper" whiffs added to the mix.

I did take a few snaps on my Blackberry so the quality aint that good. But they can be seen here.

I also had my lap top running a slide show of the profiles produced by several of the members of the forum. Just to add to the flovor of the display.
