Ladies and Gents, I'm new to the site. I suffer from the same excellent disease you all do   ;D
Conventional scale modelling is boring. Whatiffery is where it's at!

As a kid I was mad keen on Biggles books. I always wanted a collection of planes to go with the books, but I never really had the resources to do it. Plus I was lazy  ;D
Now that I'm older, have extended the book collection, am more cashed up and I've broken both legs so I can't go speed boarding anymore, I'm starting to finally build up that collection in earnest. I'll post up pics as I complete them. All my build threads are over on the UAMF.

I also build conventional models from WW1 and the interwar era (particularly flying boats), the love of which was inspired of course my the good Bigglesworth. I am also occasionally modelling some of the aircraft from the John Harris books (Martin Falconer and Ira Penaluna). I'll post all those elsewhere though - not in this thread.

*****UPDATE*****

Photobucket is evil and most of my pictures are gone, never to return.
Pictures are now all hosted on my webpage. Go here to see Biggles models:

I built this a few years ago. Stupidly left it on the bench overnight straight after completing it. My toddler got to it in the morning and not its not a pretty sight now.

You'll go down a bundle with Radish for sure.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Beat me to it Kit  ;D

Some really interesting builds there
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

first of all , welcome to the loony bin,. Some bloody lovely models there. Secondly, our Radish here is leader of the Biggles SIG. You might want to contact him and talk about joining up. His Biggles stuff is truely amazing,
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

Cheers. You're my kind of loonies. Thanks for the welcome, all  :drink:

I found Radish's facebook Biggles SIG page already, so I'm aware he and his band of merry men suffer from the same mutation of the disease that I do. Unfortunately a whacking big chunk of earth and sea divides me from the group so I can only display electronically.

Love the Walrus conversion with the different engine!

Great work, and the retro paint finish suits it well.
