Zenrat, it has lozenge on the wing undersides...

Ah-ha.  Thought so.
Thanks.

This is just a PSA that there may not be any more photos forthcoming on this forum and if you are interested in seeing my Biggles aircraft, follow this link (or the hotlink in my sig):
https://sites.google.com/view/biggles-modelling/home

I lost too many forum-linked pictures due to the evils of photobucket, plus resizing pics to be forum friendly is a pain, so I am focusing on just making sure my webpage is up to date with any new builds. Provided google don't stuff me over like PB did, they should be there for many years to come.

Curse you Boto Phucket.  May your servers shrivel up and drop off.

VV,  switch to some other stuff. Flickr and Imgur are popular. I use the latter and image re-size is a one time option setting each time you upload pics. It does it automatically. . I can upload a pic, have it resized, and posted here in the message boards with about 2-3 clicks and about 30 seconds of time. Can also upload entire chunks of stuff at once.  It's made for idiots such as myself that are bad at technology.  (I used to be good at technology but I lost the "skill" around 10 years or so ago..  ;D  )

Photobucket... I'd like to see a graph of their stock value or whatever since they started with all their shenanigans. Not sure if they're publicly traded or what but the information is out there somewhere about their earnings and users numbers. It would be interesting to see how things fluctuated and where they are now after their "restructuring" has had time to settle.

EDIT.  Woops!  ;D

Indeed!

However, there's nothing can be done about it now. Hence my focus on keeping the website current.

Contrary to the above, I am chucking my latest Biggles build here.

Puss Moth from Biggles in Africa. Omega Models resin kit. Many headaches.

Lovely!

I rather like Puss Moths, one of my workmates at BR had one he kept in his garage (he was of 'independent means.....') and we went flying over the BR Test Track once. A cracking day it was too.

A pity no-one does a good kit of one.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

That cover art is excellent.  As is the model.  Although the transfers look a little translucent.
Good build though.

The Wooksta!

There's a new Puss Moth due out from AVI Models.  It's out, apparently, just not in the UK yet.

Cheers all. Yes, tge AVI models kit is now out. If I'd known that was coming.....ah well, never mind.

Decals are my own custom printed. The only way to do white lettering was to print on BMF white decal paper against a red background then carefully blend the red into the paintjob. The decal paper is not a particularly solid white unfortunately.

In which case, excellent work.  Well done.

As Fred says, WELL DONE!

I've tried that method a few times myself, with failures more frequent than successes sadly.

Thanks. Have to admit it came out a lot better than the disaster I was expecting!

Latest: Hawker Typhoon from Biggles in the Orient. Built OOB from the new tool Airfix kit but for the prop 4 -> 3 blades). Decals were mostly based on the kit scheme for a generic 1942-43ish scheme but modified using spare lettering to be a fictitious registration.

Nice! Even though the Tiffy in the illustration seems to feature non-D-Day ID stripes (so that it would not be confused with a Fw 190 from below) and the early car doors and the respective canopy with more framing?  :o
