Italeri SM.82 Marsupiale vs Italeri SM.82 Canguro - differences?

Popping by my local vendor, I noticed that he had both the versions of the Italeri SM.82 on summer clearance. Having googled extensively, I still can't get to grips on which the differences between the kits are. Somewhere, however, the Canguro kit was mentioned as being a later edition of the Marsupiale kit, featuring some extra parts but I can't for my life find out which parts these are.

Anyone who can shed some light on this?

I can't be 100% about this but the Marsupiale was a misnomer on Italeri's part; this name belonged to the SM75. The SM82 was the Canguro. Both Italeri kits of the SM82 were capable of transport and limited use as a bomber. I've a feeling this is just one of those marketing ploys, like kit companies calling everything anti-radar Wild Weasel when I believe that was a code name for the F-105 missions.

That is something, though, the USAF has taken to heart.  Any fighter with a WW tailcode is coded for Wild Weasel/SEAD missions.  So it grew out of the F-105 missions and into a real designation

Sorry Scooter, you're right. I was referring to the Vietnam era as some kits featuring Navy Intruders and Skyhawks have been referred to as Wild Weasel when it should be Iron Hand. Just got back from a horrific childrens clothes buying mission of my own at the time, and wasn't feeling too good .

After 1973 my aviation interests and knowledge dry up.

Going back to the thread, I have never heard of the SM 82 being called Canguro.
I have chosen the italian Wiki, as I suppose/hope would be more knowledgeable about an italian plane:
