I feel a Flitzer masquerading as an RAF Vampire F.1 coming on.

Done one as a Swiss Venom FB.4 already, and that was rebuild of a Swedish Vampire F.1.

here she is finished...wheels a little misaligned and some paint flaking off the canopy (must put on an undercoat next time...I dropped the model a couple of times and snapped off the antenna I don't know how many times...this is a pretty nice little kit, but it gave me a lot of grief...that's just cause I'm a hapless, hopeless modeller I suppose..I'm now working on my Uhu and the Hasegawa 109G, the one with Mickey Mouse on the fus

Very nice: simple and convincing. Looks better than I expected in this all-black livery. I also have Flitzer somewhere in the stash... plan is to replace the central cockpit section with the respective parts from a Bv 141 with an underslung engine, as a ground attack version of the fighter. The only thing that's not settled is weher to put the front wheel... Another vague plan is a turboprop version with a propeller in the nose.

Why not - but it would need a (much) longer landing gear, IMHO. And a nose prop derivate (with a single tail, exhaust beneath) was under development as an attack aircraft.
