Not confirmed yet but there seems to be a 1/48th scale Eagle coming from Round 2! There is a listing from a distributor that has an MPC Eagle at $120 with no scale mentioned but there is also a listing for an Eagle accessory set in 1/48th scale.
News is from Cult TV Man http://culttvman.com/main/round-2-news-for-april-2015/
Also includes a repop of the Michael Keaton Batmobile, the USS Excellsior which I assume means they made a new engineering hull tool as AMT changed the original tool to make the Enterprise B.

The Wicked Witch of the West plastic kit that was cancelled is supposed to be coming out in resin so I doubt I can afford one!

kerr bump  apparently the 1:48 eagle is available in the states, and has been for some months,  no sign of it on the Hannants site,    but the site for forbidden planet has then as on back order, http://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/space-1999-eagle-transporter-22-long?     ive just called my local store, they haven't any in stock but are going to enquire...

It came out at the end of the month i think, and they have been distributing them, they are awaiting their 2nd batch and ordered their third as those should be the refined tooling as they found a couple of tooling issues with the 1st production kits. A UK delivery will come by boat so probably a few weeks off yet, those who are getting them now are the ones who ordered direct from the states and paing half as much again for the postage and running the gauntlet of the HMC&E

The Hawk division has come out with a re-release that I saw nothing about ahead of time:
the first re-pop of 1958/59 vintage De Havilland Comet with the hinged fuselage side to show
the interior with passengers and a variety of support vehicles. (They're quoting it at 1/144th,
collector sources say 1/153).

Interesting!  Extras like the coach and fuel truck are always welcome, but who are BOCA? as lettered on the fuselage?

It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

I have never seen that Comet before. Would make a good missile transporter with that hinged door
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Dyslexic decals, whatever next?  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

BOCA is probably to get around licensing issues, as the original boxart has it as BOAC.

PR19_Kit

Corporate madness, especially as BOAC haven't existed for the last 40 odd years!  :o

Think BA still has the rights to it along with BCal, BEA & Dan Air (might be some others too!)

Trademark is dead in the US, but still alive in the UK/EU, and as Paul states, is one
of 242 marks owned by BA, and oddly enough one version of the Speedbird over
BOAC logo is owned by a German.

They may well have the rights etc. but it's still madness.

They're not likely to use them in the near future, if at all. Once again it's corporate greed if they're trying to get people to buy 'licences' for their use.

We should send them an invoice every time we show a model with their logos on, currently they get the advertising for free!
