Great minds think alike, sort of What if the Shorts Sunderland/Seaford was bought by the USNavy or USCoast Guard during WWII or Post WWII.
Great work.

That one is still in progress  This was easy enough to copy/paste and paint over the RAF serials

You'll also need the nose of an AN-10 and the cockpit framing and glazing from an Albatross

And if you want to build the USAAF variant, the OA/SA/HU-17, you'll need the waist stations and top turret from a B-17

Wow that looks good,  might apply that colour scheme to my 1/72 Hasegawa H8K2 Emily Japanese  flying boat.
The Lockheed Constellation flying boat concept has been a challenge as I couldn't find a suitable hull up to now.
With the Matchbox HP Victor being fitted with the Hasegawa Shinmeiwa PS-1/SS-2 flying boat hull, I think I've got a solution.
Using the cross section of the PS-1/SS-2 wingbox, a higher wing could be fitted. I've tried chopping the fuselage and turning it upside down but this doesn't seem to work. As I've got two Heller 1/72 Connies in the stash  one is the EC-121 Warning Star and the other is the 1049G "Super G".

Captain Canada

Does that ever look good ! Love the new nose on her. I've always wanted to upgrade my old Airfix Sunderland and that could be the ticket right there.

That new nose makes all the difference, I often thought the Sunderland's retractable nose turret looked a bit of a throwback, although I understood the reasons for it.

Where DID that new nose come from? It rings bells somehow, but I can't put my finger on it.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

OK, thanks for that. Whatever it is it's a BIG improvement.
